Several months ago, I came to a realization on how relationships can be greatly affected by our astrological birth charts and found out there are 6 major planetary placements that contribute to our compatibility, not just our sun sign.
We often think our astrology compatibility is based on our Sun sign, but we should also take our Moon, Ascendant / Rising, Mars, Venus, and Mercury into consideration when checking our love compatibility.
For example, I’m a Cancer sun and I’m definitely an emotional, empathetic, and nurturing Cancer, but I’m also free-spirited and independent due to my Aquarius moon. When it comes to communication, I express myself & think in an optimistic & confident manner due to my Mercury in Leo, but I hate confrontation and tend to hide in my shell if I’m approached in a negative way due to my Mars in Cancer. I’m patient, affectionate, and sensual when it comes to love & handle money well due to my Venus in Taurus ( best sign to have in Venus IMO ;) ), and I may come off alluring, sensual, and mysterious at first sight due to my Rising in Scorpio, but don’t let that one fool you. Although I am sensual & I’ve been told I’m mysterious, I don’t find myself mysterious AT ALL, because I feel I’m such an open book. But everything is perspective.
